Gender identity: An intersubjective construction?
- 2016.
56
Intersubjective processes are at work in the development of an essential aspect of subjectivity: a sense of being male or female. The authors show that investment of his/her gender by the child is primarily the result of the link to the other and his/her unconscious. The construction of sexual identity depends on interactions that connect the subject to the family environment and the social environment.
