Atypical sexuality, between performance and excess
- 2021.

To begin, the author defines atypical sexuality. Is it LGBTQ+? A type of sexual perversion? Or extreme sexuality? It could be a sexuality without boundaries and affection, without any real sensuality. It is self-centered, exclusively inclined toward the urge of excitement and the need for rapid release, trying to do without all the satisfaction of the link (tenderness, driving each other toward a growing pleasure). Atypical sexuality is not genuine; it is all about performance, the goal being to stifle the dreaded desire as well as its mystery. The author proposes to study this human fact: What is the relation between sexual pleasure and affection ? What is the space and role of tenderness in the link? And to what extent do contemporary atypical sexualities lead to the repositioning of sexuality itself? Two clinical vignettes are quoted.
