Local group of alternative farmers as a support for the renewal of agricultural activity

<br/><br/> Farmer groups are considered as a lever for agricultural transition. Within the diversity of farmers group, new forms involved in alternative and agroecological agriculture are emerging and aim at facilitating and consolidating farms setting up. This contribution proposes to study socio-economic networks within a group of alternative farmers of French Vaucluse. By mobilizing social network analysis and by studying exchanges and cooperation’s diversity, we aim at understanding the role played by the group and by social relationships in agricultural activity. This work highlights the centrality of social interactions in this farmer group to farming systems running and to farmer’s empowerment and local integration.
