With the transition to adulthood, any hope for change is usually lost. All-encompassing, definitive institutional verdicts, for life, only serve to confirm a burdensome fate, a resignation.The reality of meeting with adults with disabilities contradicts the heavy burden of this societal way of seeing things. How are we to think about inclusion for these adults whose institutional career has been lengthy and, inevitably, in part iatrogenic? How can the link with their family be maintained? How can hope be restored?
