Rémy Puyuelo provided me with a possible metaphor through Magritte’s painting Not to Be Reproduced, depicting Edward James with only his back being reflected by the mirror. In this case, reproduction is forbidden by a mise en abyme and by the mortiferous depiction of Edward James, whose face is hidden or absent
