<br/><br/> In a context where trauma, vulnerability, and isolation are all intertwined, psychic care and the question of what is at stake in the helping relationship and in recognition between the professional and the person being cared for are issues for all actors involved in accompaniment. The helping relationship is an obvious support in restoring a positive self-image for the person accompanied, and social work focuses on the challenge of creating bonds of affiliation with the host society.
