<br/><br/> Quebec places particular importance on early childhood. This takes several forms, whether it is at the level of the family unit or at the level of government. Since the 1990s, this interest has shown itself through initiatives on a grand scale to promote the healthy development of children. This article presents three major initiatives which have made a mark on early childhood intervention in Quebec. A point in common between these three initiatives is their utilization of convincing evidence and of the ecological model as a programme structure.
