Based on a clinical study, this article shows how neuropsychological assessment and the biopsychological model are key tools in the differential diagnosis between attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) and borderline personality disorder (BPD) in inattentive and impulsive children. Vulnerability factors and the transdiagnostic approach used in cognitive and behavioural therapy (CBT) are also discussed in this clinical study.
