The passion of ignorance

The passion of ignorance, not as the absence of knowledge but as a search for what one does not know, takes note of the law of speech and the hole around which knowledge is built. Consented and avowed ignorance allows the subject to move towards a learned ignorance, that is knowledge at its most elevated, whereas ignorentia docens is ignorance sufficient to he who plays the knowledgeable, who thinks he knows and misses the truth. In the cure it is from the position of the ignorant that the analysand embarks on a quest for truth. And it is with his own non-knowledge of the Other that the analyst guides the analysand, not towards a Wissen (knowledge), but on the paths to gain access, letting the subject find the words within which he recognises the law of his being.
