N2  - Phénomène musical des années 1990, la Cro-dance a associé à une musique de danse du Nord-Est de l’Europe des paroles en croate et souvent en anglais, contrairement à toute la musique populaire qui est seulement chantée en croate. S’appuyant sur le champ de la sociolinguistique et de l’anthropologie, cet article analyse les échanges de langage dans ces textes musicaux comme les récits auxquels les artistes, les producteurs et le public les associent; “Cro-dance” was a musical trend in 1990s Croatia which combined north-west European dance music with lyrics in Croatian and often English, unlike most Croatian popular music which used Croatian language only. This paper applies ideas from sociolinguistics and anthropology to the interplay of languages in these musical texts and the wider cultural narratives with which performers, producers and listeners have associated them; „Cro-Dance“, ein musikalisches Phänomen der 1990er Jahre, verbindet nordosteuropäische Tanzmusik mit kroatischen und englischen Textelementen und steht damit im Gegensatz zur traditionellen Volksmusik, bei der Lieder nur auf Kroatisch gesungen werden. Aus soziolinguistischer und anthropologischer Perspektive heraus analysiert der Artikel Sprache und Inhalt der Liedtexte und die Bedeutung, die Künstler, Produzenten und Hörer ihnen beimessen
