Conspiracy theories, like those that appeared after the attack on Charlie Hebdo, follow a delirious logic, prefigured in the work of Charles Fort. The cumulative effect of an avalanche of more or less grounded arguments creates a form of disbelief. Conspiracy theorists take advantage of this effect with the support of new techniques of information and communication.
