The relation to the text of the tradition is more evident in Strauss while Freud and Kafka propose a relation to the text that remains unconscious, which is a different kind of writing: the text. Basically, Kafka fades away to the text, authorizing a renunciation of the “all” of jouissance. Kafka also grapples with a Schuld who stands at fault, in guilt, and in debt in a tragic entanglement.
