N2  - This paper examines the Zionist question in light of the writings of Freud, Kafka, and Leo Strauss. The relation to the text of the tradition is more evident in Strauss while Freud and Kafka propose a relation to the text that remains unconscious, which is a different kind of writing: the text. Basically, Kafka fades away to the text, authorizing a renunciation of the “all” of jouissance. Kafka also grapples with a Schuld who stands at fault, in guilt, and in debt in a tragic entanglement. The letter, the act of acknowledging this Schuld, brings about a surpassing of Oedipal writing
