N2  - The analytic investigation of manic-depressive psychosis began with the description by Kraepelin (Abraham, 1912). In his key paper “Mourning and Melancholy,” Freud formulated its structure. Melanie Klein’s findings were a continuation of Karl Abraham’s works on the destructive-cannibalistic approach to the object.
