Oedipus continues to be a logical moment essential to the formation of a subject, as a separated subject that finds a way out of alienation in the desire that formed it, according to a desire that is founded on its interdiction itself. Yet it is also a supplement to the “sexual relation,” the relationship between two sexes that language does not inscribe.
