<br/><br/> At the end of 1909, Freud suggested that psychoanalysis could intervene to cure a certain style of male homosexuality close to obsessive neurosis. It took him ten years to definitively refute this thesis during a debate with Ferenczi. This debate proves Freud’s efforts to empower psychoanalysis, that is to say, to solve the crucial questions of the Freudian field by arguments specific to psychoanalysis.
