<br/><br/> The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the veracity and legitimacy of Lacan’s aphorism that the unconscious is politics by taking up from a genealogical perspective the traumatic effects of the military dictatorship on the forms of subjectivation in Brazil, through the constitution of a debt towards those who died at the hands of military dictatorship.
