Suffering and Bond Breaking in the Borderline Patient - 2006.

53

Our working hypothesis is to consider the borderline problem from the viewpoint of a rupture of the bond in the somatic, psychic, interactive and social fields. In the light of the clinical approach with a female patient, the author redefines the concept of bond rupture. He presents the signs and the etiological pathology assumptions in a multimode perspective. Then he describes the essential steps in the conduct of the therapy: containing the shattering and the anxiety; creating links of meaning in the internal chaos; encouraging a supporting relationship.
