N2  - This article looks at the impact of the health measures taken during the COVID-19 pandemic on the professional practice of a Conseiller Principal d’Education (CPE) (principal education adviser). Despite the constraints, doubts, and difficulties of daily life, this period presented a good opportunity to reflect on the way to carry out the role of CPE in a middle school. The Spinozist-inspired educational approach seemed particularly stimulating, as it enabled us to move away from a reductive vision of the education system in which the pupil appears as a body to be trained rather than a being in the making
