<br/><br/> This article hypothesizes that to understand the “crisis of attractiveness” from which social professions are suffering, it is useful to study how different imaginaries, accumulated over time in relation to “social work,” have tended to distance “ideals” from the real conditions of activity by ascribing specific meanings to professionals.
