N2  - We can distinguish Islamism as a political ideology at the root of terrorist attacks, and Islam as a religion. However, we cannot entirely separate the two. It is therefore necessary to deconstruct the Islamist ideology and to relate it to the founding texts of Islam. The question thus becomes the following: how might we read these texts from a historical perspective?
