<br/><br/> Still relatively uncommon some twenty years ago, ecovillages have recently gained traction and are inspiring new generations, who are sensitive to ecological issues, as well as older people driven by a quest for meaning and aware of the degradation caused by the lifestyles and economic models in which they participate. As places for experimenting with new, more frugal lifestyles, can these ecovillages contribute to the emergence of an ecological democracy based on solidarity?
