N2  - ‪The Cinémathèque centrale de l’enseignement public has its origins in the opening of a film lending service within the Musée pédagogique. Transferred in 2010, by the current Canopé network, to the Direction des bibliothèques de l’université Sorbonne Nouvelle, the collection suffers today from a lack of notoriety, even though this film library was one of the most important in France in terms of the number of copies loaned or the volumes in its shops between 1920 and 1996. The inclusion of the Cinémathèque centrale in the historiography of education is now a necessity.‪
