N1 - 9 N2 - Yoga, a millennia-old practice combining postures, breathing and meditation techniques, as well as an ethic of conduct toward oneself and others, is drawing interest in the field of non-pharmacological intervention due to its profound benefits for physical and mental well-being. Within psychiatry, its use is expanding, especially in the treatment of eating disorders (EDs). This narrative review presents scientific studies assessing yoga’s impact on ED treatment. A selection of nine studies published over the last twenty years demonstrates significant positive effects, primarily on mental health (anxiety, self-esteem, body image disorders), with no adverse effects on patients’ health. These promising findings highlight the need for further research to validate yoga’s efficacy in ED treatment and to address existing methodological limitations (such as small sample sizes and absence of control groups). Ultimately, this review offers a succinct overview of the literature, providing essential scientific insights into the benefits of yoga treatments for individuals with EDs UR - https://shs.cairn.info/journal-hegel-2024-3-page-335?lang=en&redirect-ssocas=7080 ER -
