In Toronto, Marshall McLuhan’s structuralist and determinist theory was based on technology viewed as an organizational communication between individuals. In Montreal, however, Social Communication was like a living media laboratory, which arose from the 60s Quiet Revolution and organized itself around the “Videograph” of Montreal.
