N2  - The BRICS countries have been attracting the attention of Chinese researchers since 2010. The role of the BRICS in global governance seems to be a topic of intensive study for many reasons, including China’s ambitions and its influence on international relations. Chinese researchers are engaged in discussions on the objectives and impacts of collective BRICS actions at the global level on China’s role, and on managing internal relations within this cooperative platform. They express widely shared optimism about the future of the BRICS while keeping a watchful eye on the potential risks and limitations of each member’s means of action
