Ego organization and its changes in a child with Asperger’s
- 2019.
21
The author proposes that the ego is an organization made of different layers that coexist with their own defense mechanisms and transformations. The author believes that a general transformation of the ego is possible through analytical work, but that this transformation, although it concerns the dynamic and economic aspects of the organization of the ego, never suppresses the existence of a particular level in favor of another. The tension at work within the psychic apparatus, which is also found in the investment of the object through transference, takes place between two important psychic agencies: the reality-ego and the narcissistic-ego.
