<br/><br/> Based on her experience as a psychoanalyst with children with disabilities, the author studies the construction of identity in these often extreme clinical situations. What are the psychic processes of becoming aware of a difference for which the classical Freudian model of sexual difference is not sufficient? The author then proposes the hypothesis of the invention of a new form of identity characterized by multiplicity and diversity.
