<br/><br/> The author addresses a period of Lucien Sève’s intellectual itinerary — his encounter with the work of Russian psychologist L.S.Vygotski (1896-1934). Both shared a common project at different periods — constructing a science of individuality on the basis of historical materialism. They have in common the concept of personality but they differ in their research perspectives — documenting the development of the psychic system for Vygotski, laying out individual biographic construction for Lucien Sève.
