N1 - 59 N2 - This article analyses the institutionalization of global health public private partnerships since the 1990s. It shows that the loose and imprecise formulation of a norm of cooperation with businesses, in the context of the reform of the UN system and according to a top-down process, and its subsequent clarification through the Global Compact and the Millenium Development Goals, triggers a phase of diffusion organized around the notion of ‘partnership’ which remains sufficiently vague for it to be the object of various appropriations.
