<br/><br/> Reflecting on Brazilian cities falls in line with the new relationships between Brazil and the world, and the development crisis. Mike Davis condemns this globalization, describing it as a “Brazilianization” of the world whereas favelas, on the contrary, are the dynamic power of metropolitan development with the becoming-slum of the cities and the becoming-city of the slums.
