<br/><br/> The Alter Natives association wanted to mobilize people who are reluctant to visit the museums that preserve them around the issues of the restitution of African objects. The experience is called Contact zone/Objects from elsewhere. It involves young people from the Ile-de-France region entering museum reserves, selecting objects of non-European origin, investigating their biography to find out where they come from and being able to explain their journey to the rest of the population. In this long-term project, anchored in various territories, the restitution of ill-gotten objects is therefore not the main motive. These actions make it possible to test tools to establish another type of relationship with knowledge and to develop a direct relationship with the populations from which these objects come, in their countries of origin, mainly in Africa.
