<br/><br/> The divide between opponents and supporters of the naturalization of aesthetics tends to obscure the fact that several naturalizations are possible. After a critical analysis of experimental investigations of aesthetic categories (such as the beautiful and the sublime), this text suggests ways in which aesthetics continues to play a role in philosophy of art, notably contemporary art, by the study of adaptation of cognitive processes involved in aesthetic experience.
