The traumatic attacks carried out in France are the foundation stone of the citizen organization “Ne touche pas à ma République (Do not touch my Republic).” This movement, which relies on civil services to help citizens to reappropriate the public sphere, is built as an action research. In response to a situation in which a deadly break-up of social links is arising, the collective aims to create psychic working spaces in order to evade its disjointed deadly effects. The organization’s approach involves encouraging different institutional participants to reflect on their intervention and on specific issues, serving as an opportunity to reconsider their place. Today, through its will to rediscover established values, the citizen organization contributes to the conceiving of a process of re-institutionalization and promotes an involvement in the democratic process.
