After highlighting the importance of the œdipal problematic, narcissism and the issue of loss/separation in the adolescent and adulthood processes, this article sets out to account for their intricacies with psychic temporality, in order to emphasize the relevance of this concept in becoming an adult. Indeed, if adolescence has been studied from the point of view of psychic temporality, no study backed by a psychoanalytical thought has yet taken interest in its importance in becoming an adult. To do this, and based on our doctoral research, we will specify these interactions between psychic temporality and becoming an adult, then we will propose a methodology supported by the projective tests of Rorschach and tat in order to reveal the quality of the deployment of becoming an adult from the point of view of psychic temporality.
