Where is the French Constitution?

<br/><br/> Where is our Constitution? In the past, the answer seemed quite simple: it was in the constitutional text, i.e. the fundamental law adopted by the people in 1958. Nowadays, the answer is more complicated. Is it to be found in the body of constitutional rules as interpreted by the judge? If so, would it be an adequate support for a democratic constitution? Furthermore, what role should be given to the current political practices in our institutions? We have to admit we are disoriented when it comes to deciding where our Constitution is. To regain our compass, we might look at the founding principles of our political regime.
