N2  - Based on a meticulous observation of the dynamics of art therapy in congresses, conferences, and meetings devoted to it, the author of this paper humorously identifies “the syndrome of art-therapeutic wrong notes.” This paper presents a rigorous discussion of the present state of this specialization and/or profession. The syndrome in question comprises ten characteristic symptoms (ignorant orthodoxy, psychopathological formatting, round table in a line, etc.). After a detailed presentation of each symptom, this paper discusses treatment options for each. Lastly, this paper stresses the need for art therapy to build on recent literature and interdisciplinary research
