N2  - A study conducted by an integrated managed care consortium (Kaiser Permanente) attempted to correlate the health status of about eighteen thousand adults with ten types of adverse childhood experiences. The results show a strong link between the number of different experiences they had and the deterioration of health indicators ten, twenty, or thirty years later. A hundred or so publications dealing thematically with a health disorder related to adverse experiences (cancers, psychiatric disorders, addictive behaviors, STIs, etc.) constitute the primary corpus of this work and this methodology, which are now known internationally. This article aims to introduce this groundbreaking work to French speakers
