N2  - This article explores methodological aspects that are specific to research in clinical psychology with a psychoanalytic angle. At the present time, a diversity of methods exists from one research team to the other. We show the implications of our specific methodology, that of reconstruction in hindsight of past clinical experience. This means that the study is conducted once the clinical practice is over. The separation between practice and study benefits research as it limits the effects of circularity between the research team and their object of exploration
