<br/><br/> We propose as part of this research work to enhance the role of managers in the establishment of a monitoring system for strategic planning in the context of SMEs. This research project is part of a constructivist approach, based on the research-action method, a method allowing to have both the position of researcher and intervening actor. This work pursues two complementary objectives: Study the influence of the characteristics of SME managers on the development of environmental scanning practices within their company for better decision-making on the one hand, and set up an effective strategic environmental monitoring system to improve the decision-making process, on the other hand.
