Following a content analysis carried out on the 50 semi-structured interviews conducted with participants from the strategic core of the “Caisses d’Épargne”, several treatments, both qualitative and quantitative, make it possible to understand the links between legitimization and Social Responsibility of the Company.The results indicate that CSR is above all mobilized in a process of legitimization of the “Caisses d’Épargne” credit banks. The different types of legitimacy - pragmatic, moral, cognitive - are associated with different types of integration of CSR - in the activities and governance of the “Caisses d’Épargne” credit banks.
