Metropolitanisation, mobility and school dropout among young people
- 2021.
90
An assessment of young dropouts’ social space, their spatial practices and their lived space carried out through an analysis of their residential mobility allows us to establish that these young dropouts have a relationship with space and with their region which is not very different from that of other young people with more qualifications, because metropolitanisation and the rural exodus affect their mobility. The results vary according to gender and the young dropouts’ region of origin and reception. Young dropouts aged between 16 and 24 become mobile earlier than other young people, and this mobility is affected by regional factors.
