Thoughts on Freud’s Theory of the Life Drive’s Early Stages - 2007.

Freud originally considered that the self-preservation drive was fuelled by " egoism ", and later by libido. The classical notion that the sexual drive is supported by the self-preservation drive thus raises the question of the " original " relations of the libido with narcissism, desexualisation and mastery. The author subsequently attempts to define the role of original repression and primary symbolisation.
