— In the light of D. Clerc and L. Danon-Boileau’s propositions, the author considers the notions of phantasy and talking cure and their role in child psychoanalysis. The organising force of original phantasies determines the weight given to the words exchanged in the context child analysis. In the absence of these fully constituted original phantasies, the analyst attempts to render more dynamic the basis of phantasy work. The analyst temporarily renounces having recourse to the symbolic meaning of words in order to once more encounter the world of feeling. She offers a number of clinical illustrations.
