Tattoos and Marks of Attention - 2010.

62

A path connects ski jumping, and mountain climbing, filmed by W. Herzog, to graffiti, and finally to tattooing. Tattooing, through the function of attention, allows little quantities of excitations to get to the ego, which is added to the sexual libido coming from the co-excitation and the relationship to the tattooer-object so as to struggle against an enfeebling of the ego. This is similar to a transfusion to treat a narcissistic hemorrhage.
