A Dream Body - 2010.

16

The structuration of the Ego-body by the experiences of satisfaction takes place in the field of infantile sexuality and its transformations. Starting from an Ego made of composite emotional traces, the mind has to build the image of a united body, able to bear narcissism while submitting itself to the requests of the Ideal-Ego. Surrealistic painting can be seen as an attempt to figure out this structuration of the unconscious image of the body, backed upon the satisfaction of erogenic zones. Confronting the ??Gradiva?? of the painter A.?Masson to that of Jensen, the author of the novel, may help us figure out the way in which dreamwork allows the integration of corporeal feelings. Thus the dream seams as a tool able to shape an erotic body in constant transformation.
