<br/><br/> The impulsion to take on a gendered identity at the heart of psychic bisexuality in adolescence always entails a refraction in the psychic life of the parents, who simultaneously share the disturbance in their own way. The article illustrates this observation by considering the work of integration in adolescence and then with an episode from Sigmund Freud's life that concerns his daughter Sophie's concluding adolescence. The end of adolescence is like a joint construction between different subjects and between generations coming to terms with difference.
