<br/><br/> Scholarly debates on the wellsprings of collective action have found a common ground for application in Elinor Ostrom’s work on economic governance: common goods. This paper examines the foundations of the behavioral approach to collective action proposed by Ostrom, along with possible extensions to the social and solidarity economy in terms of democratic aspirations and reciprocity as vehicles for collective action, principally around the question of common goods.
