N2  - Between the symbolic space and the potential space (Winnicott) there is a dialectical dynamic: if the potential space persists in time, it will permit the symbolic space to manifest and develop itself. This space is constituted on the intra-psychic level, whereas the potential space is both intra-psychic and intra-subjective, that is to say, neither internal nor external, but rather always “placed between”. Carravagio, with his Narcissus, represents this dynamic movement well
