N1 - 44 N2 - This study analyses the links between parental involvement in children’s schooling and their school achievement. Several issues will be addressed based on the review of empirical research including meta-analysis on this question. On one hand, we will focus on the problems involved in the identification and definition of dimensions related to this field of study. On the other hand, the analysis of the relationship between the different dimensions of parental involvement and children’s school achievement will be discussed. What we can learn about these meta-analysis is that dimensions of parental involvement are positively related to academic achievement with small or medium effects.
