Health care institutions, particularly those dealing daily with somatic suffering, are confronted with the stakes of life and death, which greatly utilize the knowledge of caregivers, but also all the emotional dimensions of the identifications with people suffering with its two poles of rejection or clinging. Can we disregard the group institutional context in which care is dispensed? The family group, like the caretaker group, is the first to suffer from the outpouring of anxiety, which freezes thought and has long-term consequences.
